SZN 02 - WK 04

Halftime.

Crew Leaders, we’re at halftime.

Week 4 means we’re officially past the halfway mark of the Crew SZN, and what a first half it’s been. Nearly 40% of our church is in a Crew right now. That’s no small thing, especially in the summer, when plans, travel, and unpredictable weather can pull people in every direction. And yet, people are showing up. They’re choosing community. They’re choosing growth. They’re choosing God.

But just like any great team, halftime is where we pause, not to coast, but to reflect and reset. How’s your Crew SZN going? Take a moment this week to really assess it. Look at your Crew through a spiritual lens:

  • Are people leaning in and growing?

  • Are conversations going deeper?

  • Is there someone who’s ready to step up and lead alongside you?

It’s a great time to evaluate and maybe even elevate. You don’t have to do it alone. Sit down with your co-leader. Talk with your coach. This is a team effort, and we’re all in this together.

And while you're at it… check in with yourself, too.

  • How are you doing?

  • Are you leading from a full cup? Are you taking time to fill your cup?

  • What’s God been speaking to you this SZN?

  • What’s your personal goal for the second half?

This isn’t just about managing a group. It’s about becoming—becoming the kind of leader God has called you to be. Let’s not miss the opportunity to grow in the middle of the mission.

This week is our second in the doubleheader of Crew Weeks, then we’re heading into VOUSCon and a few weeks off from formal gatherings. But that doesn’t mean we stop building. It just means we shift the play.

Plan to show up strong at VOUSCon with your Crew! Sit together, go to a workshop, grab food, debrief what God is doing in your lives. And during the break? Make space to hang out. Fourth of July? Perfect excuse to build deeper community and have fun while doing it.

Let’s not drift into the second half. Let’s charge into it—with vision, with unity, and with faith that the best is still to come.

Let’s finish this SZN strong. We’re proud of you. Let’s go.
