[lead dropcap="yes"]Life is fragile. It can change in an instant - from lack of finances, broken relationships, to health issues. Sometimes, we are left to wonder what to do when facing a troubling situation. We might find ourselves being aimless, broken, and empty. But here is the good news, there is hope. God is ready to exceed our expectations and reestablish us. [/lead]This Sunday, we had the honor to have with us more than a special guest, but family, Pastor Denny Duron — Pastor DawnCheré Wilkerson’s father. He continued our collection of talks on Acts of the Apostles and spoke on how God’s power, provision, and purpose already belongs to us through faith. We just need to activate it.
“If you can ask it, God can exceed it. If you can dream it, God can exceed it” - Denny Duron
Pastor Denny shared with us three practical tools to use in our lives:
ACTIVATE THE POWER OF GOD BY BEING INSTANT IN PRAYER
In Ephesians 3:20, God reminds us how he can exceed all that we ask or can imagine. Yet, God cannot do exceedingly, abundantly and above in our lives until we take the first step, and give him something to exceed. We don’t need to wait to pray, or pray a lengthy, fancy prayer. We simply need to talk to God like we would talk to a friend. Pray from the heart, and believe in the power of our prayers.
ACTIVATE THE PROSPERITY OF GOD BY PUTTING GOD FIRST
Prosperity is about our needs being met and having enough to give someone else. God knows having money is vital to our daily living as well as a representation of our time and sacrifice. It's important for us to know that God doesn’t take it lightly when we give our tithes and offerings. The act of giving is more about trusting him with our finances, and less about giving in exchange for a return. Though it may be a challenge to put him first, we need to be assured that God genuinely cares and always provide for our needs.
ACTIVATE THE PURPOSE OF GOD BY FOLLOWING OUR FLOW OF CONCERN
We need to align our thoughts and cares with God’s thoughts and cares about our lives. His heart is for people. When we believe in the flow of the spirit in us and follow through with the thoughts to reach out to people, there is no telling how many lives can be touched. As you move into the week, be encouraged to let your faith rise and ask God to reveal himself to you. God wants a relationship with you. In the highs and in the lows, no matter what your needs may be, he wants to bring his supernatural power upon your life. Just believe and activate it.
