[lead dropcap="yes"]Great churches are a result of great leadership. As we mentally mark off week 24 in our timeline of being VOUS Church, we take a moment to honor the leadership that has gone before us, poured into us, and surrounded us with support.[/lead]The smiles that welcome every guest, the inviting atmosphere that reminds each of us that you belong here, and the community that exists to serve and encourage— all of this is an extension of our leaders— whether at home or away— who are committed to shaping this house into our home. With gratitude in our hearts, and a cool breeze blowing through the JDD courtyard, both new and old friends gathered in cheerful anticipation to hear from our friend— who's no stranger to the house— Pastor Chad Veach from Zoe Church, LA.
Asking For A Friend
In our everyday lives, we often find ourselves in need of guidance or a favor, but rarely do we ever simply ask the very person who could be of help to us. We’ll reach out to someone to ask on our behalf, or we’ll pretend to “ask for a friend” in fear of being denied the very thing we are asking for. As a result, we end up without the very thing that we need. Pastor Chad Veach reminds us that we don’t need to operate out of fear or timidity when it comes to our relationship with Christ. If we have a need, all we have to do is ask!
"Faith is what honors God the most, and what God mostly honors.” Pastor Chad Veach
God honors our faith because faith is what honors Him. So how exactly can we use faith as a tool to propel our lives forward?
1. We must find ALL of our faith in Jesus Christ.
We don’t worship faith, but we worship Jesus. All of our trust and confidence must be Him, not in our own abilities.
2. Faith is not an event, it’s a journey.
Life will bring us peaks and valleys, but our faith must remain consistent.
3. Grow it. Stir it. Fan it.
We have access to God’s infinite power, even when we have the faith of a mustard seed. So imagine what He could do for us if we allowed our faith to grow!Pastor Veach’s message reminds us to continue our journey of faith in Jesus and submit our hearts to Him each and every day.

I Love My City
We have the opportunity to create an atmosphere of faith in Miami by taking part in I Love My City this Saturday, February 27th at 10:30 at Miami Rescue Mission, as we host a pizza party for the homeless in our community. We will also be collaborating with Lotus House, a shelter for women and children, and encourage you to not only be generous with your time, but by bringing along diapers, umbrellas, feminine toiletries, and items you wish to donate. We can’t wait to love our city with you this Saturday.Join I Love My City
