[lead dropcap="yes"]The energy was high and the anticipation tangible as we gathered together for our third ever Heart & Soul night - which highlighted the works God has done this past SZN and focused our vision ahead for SZN 3. [/lead]There is something special about coming together as a church to celebrate the wins of each season (SZN) and cast vision for what God has in store for the future. The past four months have been extraordinary, but we believe that the best is yet to come. This is what Heart and Soul is all about, and what is why we gather once every quarter.

Celebrating the Wins

As we approach our next SZN and our one-year anniversary as a church, we made it a point to look back at all the marvelous things God has done thus far. Tracking our milestones and collecting numbers not only remind us that people are our heart, but that as we make ourselves available, God does the impossible.

Here are some of the wins of SZN 2:

SALVATIONS

693Total since launch: 1,769

GROWTH TRACK GRADUATES

103Total graduates since launch: 372

VOUS CREWS

822Total amount of people in crew at least once in SZN 2

VOUS Kids

115SZN 2 Average amount of kids:

SERVANT LEADERSHIP

520Total amount of unique servant leaders for SZN 2

BAPTISM

204Total amount of people baptized since launch

Make Space

Pastor DawnCheré encouraged us through Isaiah 54:1-6 on moving forward with the vision that God has placed over us to Make Space. While looking back at the past encourages us in our faith, we should be a church committed more to the future than to the past. She challenged us, individually and as a church, with 4 questions that we should ask ourselves as servant leaders in order to understand and fulfill the vision God has placed ahead of us.

"If you will be you, then God will be God" Pr. DawnCheré Wilkerson
  1. Who is called to make space?
  2. The who is YOU. You with all your past mistakes, failures, questions, and insecurities are called to be a culture carrier and make space. Simply trust in God and He will be faithful.
  3. What does it mean to make space?
  4. You must use plenty of rope (be prepared to build God's house) and drive the tent pegs deep (consistently working at it with a spirit of excellence). Passion + Commitment build a strong foundation.
  5. Why should we make space?
  6. Making space is not for our own comfort but for others so that they have the same opportunities to get connected, step into leadership and build God's house.
  7. How will we make space?
  8. Whenever moments of growth come, fear will always try to confront you. Don't be afraid and don't hold back. Surrender yourself to God and choose faith over fear.
