As many of you know, my first book – Sandcastle Kings: Meeting Jesus in a Spiritually Bankrupt World –  releases November 10th. Following four stories from the Bible found in Luke chapter 7, we discover how Jesus comes to invade our lives with faith, hope, and love. In each of the stories, we find drastic similarities to our own lives, yet we also learn the truth about who Jesus is.

As long as I can remember I have always loved the power of story. My heart has always leaped at creative expression. Although I'm too scared to call myself an artist, I have much respect for those who truly are. This is probably why I have always surrounded myself with such creative and colorful people. Because this book and its message have meant so much to me, I've wanted every detail to matter. From the cover to the words on the pages, it all matters to me. I'm so grateful that so many amazing friends have come around this project and added so much value to the whole experience.

Sandcastle Kings: Official Trailer

Today is a really special step on this journey to the book’s release because, along with the launch of sandcastlekingsbook.com, we also released our first official trailer. I'm so proud of both the site and the trailer for a few different reasons.

More than just a website

The site has so many cool features that I would love for you to check out. Synopsis, endorsements, trailers, pre-order bundles (ordering now gets you some great extras), and social media content to spread the word (my personal favorite). Go check it out today…and tell some people!

Visual storytelling

The trailer is special because it's not an ad, but rather a story. From the space where we shot it to the narrative that is spoken, it was all done on purpose for a purpose. Our goal is that you would watch it and feel something. Ultimately, God uses our stories to tell His story.

It's about who you're with

The website and the trailers were all made by our VOUS Church team. I love the people we get to do life with. It's less about what you're doing and more about who you are doing it with. When our team puts their whole heart into something, the result is magic.

From the beginning of this project my goal has been to put something on paper that would truly help people. This book from start to finish is laced with the love of Jesus. My prayer is that Sandcastle Kings would go to places that many would say it doesn't belong!
